In Rome
Ciao Ciao a tutti!
I’m in Rome! And I now understand why they call it The Eternal City. you can stand in one piazza and see pieces of Rome from all different time periods: ancient ruins beside a tram stop, a baroque palace beside a bookstore like B&N. And today we saw a modern building right beside August’s Mausoleum. It’s amazing.
The adventure of the day: Il Lavatrice (The Washing Machine)
Originally, we thought the washing machine just wasn’t so strong, not so great and our fifth roommate told us she had just been washing on 6 because it was fast. So, today my roommates, Emily, Sarah, Madeline and I decided we would was a load of clothes. We decided on setting 9, because it would be a bit stronger for a bigger load, well all it did was spin around for a bit. We were so confused, thought it was broken then I had a genius idea, lets break out the translator and find out what all literally 22 settings do, the descriptions were so funny! A little dirty, normal dirty, very dirty, etc.
You wouldn’t think that learning to operate a washing machine in another country would be that great, but in a small way, it was an adventure…
